St Mary's Church
The Parish Church
Of Saxon origins, with a medieval exterior and a totally 18th century interior, the church has been the centre of Christian worship at Molland whilst the manor and estate passed into the Throckmorton family early in the 18th century. The font dates from Norman times and there are magnificent examples of box pews in the Nave. The organ was presented in 1877 by James Quartly of West Molland, who made the county famous for its breed of Devon Red Devon cattle.
